Behind the name
The ’27′ in 27 Shift come from Phillips Code, a series of shorthand codes for use in telegraph transmissions. You may be familiar with the ’30′ that often finishes off press releases. 30 is shorthand for ‘end of transmission’. 27 is shorthand for ‘priorty’ or ‘important’. Thus, 27 Shift is about important, forward change.
